Smile Goroka International Primary School rocks!

Goroka Inter was a really good school back in the 80's. Have since moved to Pom so don't know what it's like now tho I trust it's still up there with the best of them.

I did grades 2 - 4 from 1983 to 1985and enjoyed it thoroughly. We had clubs where you could go horse-riding, cooking, tie-dying etc..walked to school in the fresh mountain air and mixed really well with the expatriates, always attending birthday parties etc.

All in all...fond memories of my time up there...pretty biased too coz I'm from Goroka but hey, no place like home!

Wink goroka intl primary sch

hey there chocolate,

i was just cruising the net here in manila and i saw your message. it sent me down memory lane.

i did grades 1-6 in 1978-83 under mr. ron denholm. i don't think our times there overlapped though. i walked to school too! (:

one of my best friends at that time was jon ron hosea. would you happen to know him? what about gwin kawapura, dodger and jessi makarai, melissa and stephanie scott, or any of the filipinos who happened to be there at that time?

i left png in 1987 and haven't been able to go back since. i'd live to hear what it's like.

Goroka International was cool!

Hey Quick,

I was just reading your posting and noticed that you we were in Goroka International when I was there. I was there from 1976-81. You brought back memories by mentioning Mr. Ron Denholm's name. If my memory serves me correctly he had two of his girls going there? Anyways... I also noticed that your pinoy. I wouldn't be surprised if our families knew each other since all the filipino's in Goroka pretty much knew each other.

GIPS

Aussie,

Thanks for the pic. It's been a long while since I've left Goroka. Looks I'll have to make a trip back.

hey 1tallpinoy,

you were just a couple of years ahead of me at gips then. did you go on to pinewoods after?

your memory is correct. his two younger daughters paula (the cute one... he he he) and janine were there. i don;t know about the eldest (andrea, i think her name is) coz she was way older. paula was my classmate. lucky me...

if we were at there at the same time, sigurado ako na magkakilala tayo, at hindi lang an mga pamilya natin. (:

drop me a message at quickster111@yahoo.com

by the way, nasa pinas ka ba?

aussie,

thanks for the pic of the front gate of gips. memories...

if you don;t mind my asking, whatever happened to the pix of goroka we talked about before?

thanks a bunch.

lukim yu bihain,

quick
