Bovo Early to Mid 80's

Hey All,

Anyone around that went to Bovo from early to mid 80's?

Found some old Bovo school books the other week and had some great memories of Damian Gilbert, Sasha Skyrme, Jeremy Fletcher, Troy, Jonathan Gittens, Louise Bobbermein, Jamie Rutana, Simon Rogers, Daisy, Jason Kauva, and more.

I live on the Sunshine Coast in Qld these days and if anyone is around, you can email me on toni.simon1@bigpond.com

I plan to go back to Bougainville as soon as I can and see how it is now - although a mate that flew helicopters for the army a few years ago while on peacekeeping missions took photos and it wasn't too good.

Planning a surf trip to PNG soon, so if anyone surfs and is interested, or you know some good contacts for getting around up there these days, be good to talk to you.

Be great to hear from anyone that has email contacts for anyone else too.

Simon Usher

Hi I was at boarding school by this time although you may know my little sister Emma Hamilton she did all of her primary schooling at Bovo, we lived in section 19 opposite the Deans(asheigh and domonic) house which was right next to bovo. I will have to tell her about this website as her and I both have such wonderful memories of growing up on bougainville.
cheers
Jillian Bright ( Hamilton)

Hi Jillian!

Haven't been on here for a while...

I remember Emma.

I'm planning a surf trip to Bougainville at the end of this year and I'm also heading off to Kavieng in 4 weeks.

Tell Emma I said HI! and I hope she's doing well.

Simon
